Liqua-Gel is a liquid gelled spotter with d-Limonene and Biosolv®. Specially formulated to effectively remove grease, tar, ink, glue, gum, adhesives, oil and other stubborn spots. Unlike other liquid solvents, Liqua-Gel will not penetrate the carpet backing and cause delamination — Liqua-Gel is a liquid that turns into a gel on contact. Its special gelling capability keeps Liqua-Gel from being absorbed through the carpeting and delaminating carpet backing.

Increases productivity — With traditional liquid solvents, it is a long-drawn out process of blotting to safely remove solvent soluble spots. Not with Liqua-Gel. There’s no need to go through the tedious blot-blot-blot procedure. Just follow the simple, time-saving steps below.

Directions:
  1. Pre-test in an inconspicuous area for colorfastness.

  2. Agitate area with a rigid spotting spatula to remove any excess build up.

  3. Apply Liqua-Gel to the spot, covering it completely. Allow time to penetrate. Product will gel on contact.

  4. Mark each spot with a wet floor sign or other device to avoid traffic on the area, and to act as a reminder of each location.

  5. After allowing Liqua-Gel time to break down the spot, remove the Liqua-Gel, then blot with a wet cloth or extract.

  6. Vacuuming is recommended after the carpet is completely dry.

Time-release Deodorization Options

Q: I find that there are times where I want some to do some deodorization that will last for several days or weeks. What are my options?

A: What we believe you are looking for is "masking" deodorization which is a process that uses some kind of pleasant fragrance to mask or cover another one. The first type of structural odor masking was the use of flowers at a funeral to cover up what was happening to the deceased over time. It's not always practical to have a home or business inundated with scores of flowers to cover up odors for large scale deodorization. There are other ways this can be accomplished more economically and effectively.

Today there are consumer time-release products readily available such as from Airwick, Renuzit and Glade. Some you can just stick the units to a wall with a releasable adhesive. Other units emit their fragrance by being plugged into an outlet which then give off vapors from a heated liquid or melted gel. Like all masking agents their fragrances are perfume-based. There are a myriad of fragrances to choose from. All of these can units can "deodorize: for several weeks. From the standpoint of large scale deodorization that you may have to do following water or fire damage restoration or urine removal it's not practical or cost effective to have these units installed in multiple areas of a structure to effectively deal with malodors.

Another deodorization option that can last for several weeks is to replace the existing furnace filter with one that has charcoal media. This will remove odors (not mask them) for several weeks.
